CTJJA Youth Committee Begins Meeting
The Connecticut Juvenile Justice Youth Committee The Connecticut Juvenile Justice Alliance is recruiting young leaders in the Bridgeport area to participate in a unique public policy program. Under the guidance of the Alliances Youth Coordinator, young people will identify needs in the juvenile justice system and design their own projects and policy recommendations to address those needs. Participants in the Youth Committee will work in partnership with young people from Bridgeports PARK Project to plan a statewide Youth Leadership Convocation. The Leadership Convocation will bring together youth from across Connecticut for a day of learning and action planning regarding juvenile justice, mental health and related issues. Bi-weekly meetings will be held on Wednesdays starting on October 27, 2004. All meetings will be held at the Cardinal Shehan Center in Bridgeport. For more information please contact Tyriece Fuller, Youth Coordinator, at (203) 579-2727 or via e-mail at [email protected].
